• 3d image, a thunder putting a under-water forest in fire.
My idea is to create something like this, to mix some elements.

leodadominico
• Create emoticon - "wow! what a comment" & "Call that a comment?".
• [photograph manipulation] - x-ray of a mechanical heart in a human body.
• Exammin the face of evil - Close up study of evil faces, drawn or photomanip.

eclipz04
• This is an idea for a photo manip, or anything like that.
A girl who is obviously depressed (tears in eyes, sad look.. you get the idea) is looking into a mirror, with her hand placed against it.. and in the reflection is herself, with her hand placed against her own obviously, but the girl in the reflection is evil looking (with defiance, kinda' that evil, weird smirk thing) and her wrists are slit open, or her neck... something where she killed herself and you can tell..
• A river, lake.. some kind of still water that you can do a reflection on is in the center of the photo more or less. On the top, the "real" side, is a building in a city, with a girl (or man) with her arms spread out like a bird, ready to jump, or in mid fall out of the buildings window. (suicide of course) and in the reflection of the water you can show the after effects. the same busy street of cars on the "real" side, have ambulences and whatnot, with a crowd around in the reflection.
• write a story via pictures about a girl deciding what kind of bandaides to buy..

• A photo or picture or something of the likes of a soup kitchen, (or other community-serving place). The women (or man) has her arm outstretched, handing the bowl to the person, and on her arm lies a scar across her wrist. Attempted suicide..so you see, she found a way to live in life, a way to serve. It's a hopeful peice I hope you see the meaning more than the actual picture. I'd be rather pleased to see this in a deviation.

defyjane
• A photo of a window, but in each pane there is a different view of the world(as in the sky, water, the ground...etcetc) or a perspective from different people.
• re write an emotional time in your life from the perspective of someone else, an outsider, someone who can analyze it better.

sin2001
• [personify emotions]
say, "providence" : im going to try and draw a woman with a happy mask ( one of those theatrical mask).
and "innocence" : a 3 year old child smiling but her shadow holds an axe. and all of these have meaning. Innocence never lasts and providence cant always be true (mask and axe)

5t3iggy
• [prose/paiting] I was thinking it would be cool to do a piece on how some things seem giganting, different and un-overcomable(sp), but in reality everything is made from the same minescule particles.

troa2k
• Completly black background and a short, wide wine glass and red liquid and took the ice cube droped it in and while it was in mid-air took the picture... I was using 600 speed so I hope it won't blur... but that's what I meant... I wanted water coming off of it like a small spray

kingvitamin
• a series of [painting/photographs] about the different things bread can mean symbolically in our culture.

ivyc
• A photo, of Santa, shopping with a cart down an Isle in a department store... such as Wal-Mart, FAO, KB toy, or something like that... maybe he has a list, or something hes looking at.... Another interesting Idea is one of a sleigh in a parking lot as well, this might be a cool Photo manip as such a thing might be hard to arrange for an actual photo...
• An Image or photo series of people carring out their New years resolution... Like a split screen, On one side someone being lazy, on the other the same person at the jym. Or someone smoking,,, then on the other side the same person surrounded by smokers smoking except him.

x-setsuna-x
• Take any picture of any animal and turn it into a cyborg of sorts... example: A metallic bird, or deadly robotic rat.

dr-d
• I have no skills as a painter, traditional or digital, so I had an idea for something I would be able to do nothing with. Bear with me, I may end up talking in circles or some crap trying to describe it... and maybe it won't be that great an idea either... If you like it though, have fun with it!!
Maybe I'll just try point form... might be easier

-Old West small town setting (Think of nearly every Clint Eastwood western movie)
-From the view of a 2nd or 3rd floor balcony (Hotel maybe, but lets call it Building A)
-The towns Main (pretty much only) Street runs straight out from this building, with various buildings lining each side. The balcony is more off to the side of the building, so the view of the street is not straight out from this view... know what I mean? Most everyone's seen the 'trick' of perspective of drawing train tracks with the 'view' being straight on. Each line the same angle, just reversed coming to a point directly in the center of the view. The street in this would not be laid out like that, because the perspective would be more like standing at the side of those tracks... Hope that helps make that clearer...
-At the far end of Main Street, another 2-3 storey building stands (Building B, let's call it), making a 'T' intersection in front of it. So we can imagine that there would be one in front of the building our view is from as well, making Main Street more of an 'H'... This could be in the painting or not... doesn't really matter too much.
-The sun is rising at the other end of town, behind but a bit to the side of Building B. With our perspective off to the side though, the entire rising sun would be able to be seen to the side of Building B. This causes a long shadow from Building B to lay on a diagonal across Main Street, so that our end, in front of Building A, the street is in sunshine, but nearly half way down the street the shadow lays diagonally across it.
-Near our end, in the middle of the street, standing in sunshine, there is a man directly facing the far end of the street. Because of the angle of the sun, it would not be shining straight in his eyes.
-Near the far end, again in the middle of the street, standing in shadow, there is another man directly facing our end.
-Again, because of our slightly off-to-the-side perspective we get a slight side profile of the man at our end, and we would be able to see most of the face of the man at the far end, except we can't make it out because of the shadows, perhaps somewhat silhouetted...
-At the exact middle distance between our end and the far end, in the middle of the street, there is a line running across the street. It still lays in shadow, so would have to be 'white' to show up. The shadow cast by Building B would be approaching this line... we can guess that when the shadow completely crosses this line there will be a 'Draw'

Hope this is all clear. Good luck, and if anyone uses it, let me know if you could! Don't have to of course, would just like to see if it looks the same as I imagine it, heheh...
Have fun!

• Got a photo and theme idea the other day thought i'd pass it along. I like the idea of a colab a series of photos from artists depicting there version or interpretation of people expressing thought.....

10 or so devs one photo each tiltled "A Penny for your Thoughts."

aphrael
• this is something for photographers and digital manipulators...
using photographs of members (i'm thinking full body portraits), make them living elements..a tower of flames...a water fall etc..
hopefully someone in this talent pool can pull this off...

• requires a lot of 'hardware'

IDEA: [for the long-exposure whore]
Get two of those miniature fans they make to cool yourself, the portable kind. Now fix little lights on the blades, or attach small glow-sticks by glue or string. Now go out at night, set camera for long exposure [4-20 secs], move around, ect.
This also might be interesting to do in a car, [requires more than 1 person's assistance]
One last thing you could do if you had the recourses, those cars with neon lights on the rims and underneath the car [those of you who dont know what im talking about, this is real, there are lights UNDER the car, just for fun] anyway do all this, drive in circles. its bound so make some cool effect!

• Well ihad this weird dream ok- a flaat landscape with the sun burning bright in the bottm left hand sky, loads of clouds with that sort of silver lining- but inbetween the clouds theres gaps and instead of blue sky all u can see is stars. pretty cool eh?

citrus3d
• Draw, paint, or take a picture of something which is considered by most people as dirty, dingy, gross, or ugly, i.e. a garbage dump, a mud puddle, dead stuff, an old slum etc. and try to capture its true beauty.

artech-x03
• I had an idea last night, about art..but also about contest to make it more exciting?..yeah u ever seen those really weird complicated 3d puzzles, mostly made out of wood ages ago..and they had complex patterns on them too, an artist, or a group or artists: 3d artists - to plan the 3d puzzle peice by peice and make sure it fit together correctly(the puzzle can be based on any shape or group of shapes, sphere cube pyramid..etc etc) it can be a symetrical puzzle or it doesnt have to be.

pyrox02
• This idea would go especially well in pen and colored digitally, at least I think so. You could draw shadows standing as if they are talking like normal people and have the people whom they belong to cast upon the floor... like shadows...
I'd do this myself, but i can't draw. If anyone does this I'd like to be notified because I'd like to see what it looks like in the end.

• Putting Animal heads to Human bodies. Can be various in a Dev, for example a photo of a street filled of persons, but each and everyone of those persons have a different animal head. Can play with the animal expressions too, to make more interesting portraid.
• Free Stock Avatars! it would be a great idea to make free stock avatars to people who doesnt have time to make one! maybe u can make a bunch and then delete them or make the unavailable when someone notifis its usage.
• Making arts with internal parts of machines or electronic circuits as well, could be something like a shape of a guitar made by those bronce lines of a electric-green-tablet

tasteslikebrning
• A socio-political piece, idea of a "sheperder" who is a cop or group of cops that is/are herding back a riot or group of protesters. A photo blend of sheep in place over the group of people being controlled. Signifying governmental attitudes toward the people, and how they need to be changed. Perhaps a line of text at the bottom of the piece could put emphasis on that idea.
• A long exposure picture of a model in unique clothing stands perfectly still while others are crossing the street. S/He stays sharp while the others have motion blur due to the long exposure.
A picture about individuality in a society where conformity seems to be prevalent, and encouraged.

Volume 2 will be release shortly. Enjoy.
