• Writers: When a person is intoxicated, their thought process is dramatically different: a quiet, shy person may become very extroverted-showing all their emotions. Express yourself when you are intoxicated. Show yourself as you truly are/would be.

• Drawers/Painters: create an image of pity. This could be someone, something, that you pity or it could be just the thought of pity.

• Imagine youself as a telephone operator-express your time at home when your phone goes off.

• Make a collage of your moments of weakness. Show your foods, toys, electronics, opposite sex members. Writers discuss these in a flowing concise manner. Painters-paint them on one canvas, photographers combine them or express them in one image.

• Make your own front cover for your favorite book. Show the main charecter, a bit about the plot, and all the things you\'d look for in a book cover.

• A toaster with cock roaches crawling out of it. The toaster is partly rusty and seems very old.

• A picture of an abandoned highway. In the distance you can see a crashed car in the middle of the road. It\'s late at night so you only see the silhouette on the vehicle.

• A picture of the earth being split in half by a large knife, maybe a sword.

• Describe a feeling or idea by artfully describing another object. For instance, to describe summer I would describe the taste of really good real root beer or a popsicle in some way, perhaps in a story.

• As everybody seems to quote so often, there are three sides to every story - Yours, mine and the truth. Consider a dispute over something as trivial as a lost book. I think you stole it. You think I have a grudge and I\'m trying to make you suffer by merely hiding it away and blaming you. The truth is...well, you come up with the truth.

• Here is a cool idea for a wallpaper. Make one that shows what your desktop reall looks like. You know your real desk. With papers and books and water rings and all that stuff you have on your desk. Dont lie, I know your desk is a mess, cause mine is too.

• Take a picture (if you have the friends to do it) or make a manip somehow of a beautiful green field, a cow pasture. But instead of cows or other herd animals, have humans doing things cows would do.

• Take a picture entitled something like \"Where do I belong?\", and have it be a picture taken from the middle of a street, or a dead end street, that\'s full of parked cars (perhaps during holidays or parties) and have it show how packed the world is, you have to fight for your spot.

• Have you ever not been able to remember something like a name no matter how hard you think, well for me this would sum up the feeling. This could be drawn or manipulated, A guy with his own fist rammed inside his headas if trying to pull out his brain.It could be as gruesome or as abstract as you like.

• Often artists will drape an object with some other material to give it a new, different appearance and feel. When you look at a tree in Spring with all it’s leaves those leaves are coating the branches and giving them and the tree as a whole a much different look an general concept than in the fall when it’s leaves change color. Even more different is when those leaves fall off or when those branches are coated with snow or ice. In all these cases it was the same subject matter but each time with very different implications. Try taking other common objects and coat them with another substance. The artists Christo and Jeanne-Claude de Guillebon often drape entire buildings, small islands, etc. with massive curtains. The Swiss Surrealist Meret Oppenheim in 1936 made a sculpture called “Object (Le Dejeuner en fourrure)” (which means “Luncheon in Fur”) by molding a fur covered hide to a coffee cup, saucer, and spoon. Try this with other objects, either by drawing or painting them if you lack the resources or by actually making such a sculpture. One idea of what to use for an inexpensive coating is normal ceramic clay. Try completely covering a chair (with a nonporous surface) in a thin layer of clay, to let all the details remain visible but the color and surface texture be change. This will help open your mind to realizing the presence of infinite possiblities.

• A guy walks into his room, and looks in his mirror. He sees, not himself, but some chick. She mirrors his every move. When they touch the mirror.... *POOF!*

• A boy is holding a piece of grass, and on the end of the blade of grass is a drop of dew. The clouds behind make the shape of a face, and it looks like the cloud face is crying a tear, the drop of dew. (If that makes sense)

• A womans body painted/tatooed with a map, like the breasts mountains, and paths leading from place to place on the body.

• A girl moves, and has to go to a new school. She gets made fun of because of how she looks and dresses. But as time goes on, bad things start to happen to all the poeple who make fun of her.....

• A while ago I was watching a TV and I completely forget what it was called... anyway... it was about some disease or some weird trait that a very small percent of people are born with. People with this disease/trait percieve sounds as colors. I thought this might be an interesting idea for a piece of artwork. Think of a sound and try to express it visually

• Draw a small paterns and theory that you had notice after living on this earth for this long. Paterns and theory of anything that you had figure it out, in your own interpretation, now put that understanding through art.

• Look up a word in a dictionary and create a piece inspire by the word, and use that same word as your title.

• A close-up aerial view just above an operation table, where a humanoid robot is lain out being dissected/assembled. Metal pipes and mechanical things are abound, while all the doctors are also robots, except skinless, y\'know, those staple chrome helmet-headed kind. They are checking machines and one of them is trying to stuff a human heart into the metal ribcage. A final touch is that the room is flooded in blood, up to the knees or waists of the surgeons, and there is a dim reflection of everything in the thick crimson. Interesting. It could be instilled with a sense of panic or desperation; dirty instruments, filthy room, old, messy robots, almost as though they\'re subverting things by trying to pass off a robot as being human. Could be a CG or a painting. Kind of sci-fi, I know, but hey.

• Another idea I had is of a view down a street, a busy city-centre street, maybe, with cars both ways, and people running in blind panic towards the viewer. Behind them, rushing up the street, demolishing buildings and sending cars hurtling through the air with assorted debris etc, is a massive brown tongue, licking its way along the ground. Y\'know, how kids lick ants off of things? Imagine the effect of a huge giant bending down and licking your city.

• Last one : an underwater scene, filled with sea life, except there is no colour except on the animals. All of the sharks, fish, squid, octopi and dolphins and penguins (mixed habitat, I know), all of them are shooting through a white void. Maybe a photo manip with high exposure on a group of sharks. I\'ve tried something with watercolours, but it looked rubbish.

Sardonic
• Take a try at some abstract wall paper. Use any color that represents your abstract piece the best. Circles, squares, and triangles are recommended for the basis of the piece.

dreamroamer
• Create a card, put it in an envelope and address it to yourself. Post it and take a photograph of the envelope on sending and receiving it.

• A poem: use five sentences to describe something of dislike. Repeat with a favourite object. Then structure a poem by merging the two descriptions together.
